I really dislike that I feel like I have to "stick up" or whatever for a reprehensible human being like Watson (maybe that's on me and I should just keep quiet) BUT, repeatedly seeing the man described as a failure is CRAAAAZY revisionism and a serious case of "what have you done for me lately"

TL,DR We had a good time visiting some of our Portuguese colleagues this week, where we talked
#phage
and ran into some old and new faces Our visit had it all: good science, good food and even an unexpected seismic drill You can read all about it on this thread π§΅

If you've been following us for a bit, you might recognize this member of our team, who was featured on our very first post Nicolas Dufour is an associated researcher who splits his time between the BBH lab and his clinical work at an intensive care unit

A lot of the work for a research lab is not ACTUALLY performed on the bench, that's why it helps to have a good administrative assistant!! At the BBH we're lucky to have Eric Figueroa-Acosta helping us out with the (many) administrative tasks needed for the daily functioning of the lab

Today you get to meet one of our PhD candidates, Ngoc-Minh-Chau Nguyen She's been with the lab for >2 years, working on developing in vitro models to study bacterial infections in the lung. If you've got questions about cell culture or fluorescence microscopy, she's your person!!!

@pasteur.fr
