I feel these vibes very strongly. I use LLMs all the time and understand them in much more detail than most of the people who insist I should use them more! When I point out weaknesses of the tech, I get accused of being an anti tech luddite who doesn’t get it.

Last week I ditched my Apple Watch for a Garmin Fenix 8 after the Apple Watch face popped off following a very gentle swim. The Garmin Fenix 8 is fantastic. Worth the switch for battery life alone. Battery life measured in weeks vs hours for the apple watch. Any other Garmin fans here?

Genuine question. How do guys in their late 40s make new friends?

Watching my step-daughter go through her GCSE exams...I had forgotten how brutal it is! Over 20 exams in 2 weeks. Some days, more than 3 in one day covering different subjects. All very high stakes, no off-days. If my employer demanded this from me, I'd complain to HR that they've gone insane

Observation from #ISC25: None of the Big 3 cloud service providers have booths this year. Don’t recognize any of the big GPUaaS providers either, not even the ones who debuted on Top500 today. Plenty of quantum though. What’s this say about the state of AI in Europe? And cloud HPC for that matter.

I'm thinking of submitting a Birds of a Feather proposal for this year's SC. Have any of you done this before and do you have any tips please? #HPC
