Ok, so I will admit that my #maker shirts with illustrations sell the best. But I keep making text-only shirts, as they make me laugh or think and I want to share those. I mean, makers do sometimes buy text-only shirts, no? In any case, this one was inspired by a suburban mom catalog, haha.

I made three city shirts. One of cities of top #maker vendors, one of top #PCB shops, and one of top #CNC and #3Dprinter companies. Do you know what companies are represented by these cities?

While I am so thrilled with the things I've been designing and illustrating, my feed reminds me of the challenges in the greater world. But for various personal and professional reasons, I am not one to speak up in these channels. That said, the quote below sums up my feelings quite well.

Yesterday was first time in ~8 months I didn't publish a new daily shirt design to my store. Alas, I've fallen behind due to a busy December and start of year. Might have to miss a few days in the next week, too. But I've a bunch of fun #maker designs to make this week. Watch this space!

Last night I had fun doing today's new design - a heart made of tiny hand-drawn 555 timers. Your partner sees a heart, #maker you sees the 555s, haha.

Yesterday, I mentioned my simple hand-drawn #capybara design. Today, in my store, I've published a slightly more elaborate capy design: "Keep Calm and Capybara On" And, instead of the usual crown there's a sweet wee chill capybara. Haha.

Most of my designs are #maker centric, but every so often one begs me to be made. Behold the capybara - chillest creature in the world. I grew up in Brasil, where these critters come from. Name comes from Tupi 'kapii'gwara' - 'grass eater.' In Portuguese, 'capivara.' Second capy design tomorrow.

To date, the shirt sizes I've been offering are S, M, L, and XL. Should I add 2XL, also? What about 3XL? I think I'll add 2XL to my more popular #maker shirts, and to all new shirts moving forward. Good idea? As requested, I added 2XL to my USBSID shirts. greyandslate.etsy.com?search_query...

When I did my "I ❤️you more than..." Valentine's Day designs, I realized I should make pronoun variations. So where it made sense, I did "him," "her," and "them" versions to cover most bases. What do you think? Here the #raspberrypi one. The #python one also below. Two more sets come Wed and Thu.

In preparation for Valentine's Day, I made some #maker themed shirts I think might make nice gifts. From "This maker is taken" to "You make my heart blink" to a few variants of the one below. Like 'em? [Some in store, more to release thru weekend, especially versions with different pronouns]

I did a few designs with the famous Cap'n Crunch bo'sun whistle used back in the day for phone #phreaking. #Maker and #hacker lore we can proudly wear. Here's the first one. I'll make the other ones available over the next few days.

I spy an illustrated 555 timer (and other components). [stumbled upon this old post while doing some research into the ownership of 555-timer-circuits.com (anybody know?)] Why are illustrated components interesting to me? I've drawn many - check out my posts (and 555 timer avatar). Haha.

Today, looking for images to illustrate. The cable cutaways remind me of Murrine (Millefluori) glassware. Pretty! I could go on. Just get the book or check it out from your local library (as I did). A Tour de Force of macro photography and cutaway techniques. Just what thrills #makers so! 🤯haha

In my long line of MOS chip illustrations, here's the MOS 8502 that was in the #Commodore128. (inspired by @studio8502.ca) Made the shirt available in the store today. I think I'll also publish the version with clear pins, if there's interest among #retrocomputing enthusiasts. 😁

I started my store with famous quote remixed with a #maker or #hacker twist. But so many were from men. I did find great quotes from amazing women, but with such reverence for those women, I couldn't twist the quote. Instead, I did designs based on women inventor patents, and direct quotes.

I've been posting my hand-drawn #maker and #hacker illustrations of interesting #hardware, #circuits, and components. But I also done some 'remixed' quotes and maker philosophy statements. I was surprised by the attention my own motto "Aut viam inveniam aut faciam" got. Very much a maker motto.

Worked up some designs that were just symbols (the hand-drawn one more recently). Think it looks cool to wear these? Inspired by 'Vive la Différence', showing how so many components have related pairs. How many of these components have you used (especially all the odd transistors)?
