NEWS: The U.S. Supreme Court upheld state laws banning transgender girls and women from competing on female school sports teams. The Court ruled that Title IX allows schools to maintain separate boys’ and girls’ teams based on biological sex.

As the aunt of two trans nieces, today's Supreme Court ruling angers me.

The president tried to rewrite the Constitution, and even his handpicked Supreme Court told him he went too far and reined him in. If you’re born in the United States, you are an American. Period. This should have never been up for debate in the first place.

As a birthright citizen myself, I’m relieved that the Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship, but as an American patriot and public servant, I’m pissed off as hell that Trump’s clearly illegal order was even considered, or that three Justices dissented.

I'm happy with Supreme Court ruling on birth rights but also fear the backlash from this racist administration.
