Submitted one of my game designs to a couple publishers today and it's a bit of a personal success for me. The games I am currently working on with publishers kinda fell into my lap - right place at the right time - so doing the work to get my other games out there feels like a big step.

I made a sell sheet for a game and I'm actually pretty proud of it. I'm not gonna say how long it took me, but needless to say I probably spent 10x more time than was actually needed.

Opened up a fresh bag of kettle cooked salt and vinegar chips and guess what... somehow this bag doesn't have ANY salt and vinegar on it... I am so displeased by this.

I know it might not be that big a deal, but seeing my game have 9 upvotes (I know one of them is mine!) on the PAX Unplugged preview list on BGG makes me happy. boardgamegeek.com/geekpreview/...

I’m running off the weirdest designers high right now. I had a dream about a party game last night. I pitched the idea to some designer friends who specialize in party games and now I basically have a complete fun party game. This is the weirdest feeling ever.

One of the best game design tools I have. This light device, typically used for tracing stuff, allows me to make double sided game components using cardstock and sticker paper.

Fate of the Fellowship comes with a pretty cool dice tower.

There's a fun easter egg in the card art for Beasts. Each set of number cards can be laid out to form views of the same nature scene at different times. Each suit represents a different season. And whole/broken variants represent day vs night scenes. So, there's 8 card panoramas in all!

Finally got my designer copies of Beasts today, so it became the 8th unique game on my Self Shelf! 😍🎲✂️

Finally got to introduce my fiancé to the game Menara. Such a fun co-operative dexterity game about building a temple.

At last night's game design meetup another designer said that I'm really good at making products. It's a great compliment, but it also amuses me at the same time.

I would say to the game devs out there, but I know it's not their fault, so I will instead say to the corporate overlords that make the decisions on Pre-order and Deluxe Editions. For single-player games, I don't want additional resources to start the game with especially in a survival-horror game.

Watched the first two episodes of Alien Earth and I’m digging it. Looking forward to see how the story goes.

Treated myself to a movie today and went and saw The Bad Guys 2. Loved it, had me smiling through-out. Probably a bit biased as I have a thing for animals that pull off heists. Makes me want to get back to trying to design a co-op heist game.

Finally got around to watching "In a Violent Nature". An interesting take on a slasher film that really made me consider a killer's motivation how it plays into the story. Definitely something I'm gonna be pondering on for my survival horror board game.

Couldn’t sleep so I decided to start watching The Haunting of Hill House in the middle of the night with the lights off and headphones on. I make good decisions.

How many times are you allowed to re-theme a board game design? I think I just discovered an untapped genre that my survival game could fit right into and it’s all I can think about now.
