Had an amazing playtest of “Ravenous Seas” tonight trying out a couple of quick changes I made since Tantrum Con this past weekend. This is the most destroyed I have ever seen the ship. It was so close to sinking, but the players pulled it off in the end.

I am now onto book 4 of Dungeon Crawler Carl, The Gate of the Feral Gods. Haven’t been this into a series in a long time and am really enjoying it.

Another great playtest tonight of my co-op sea monster hunting game, Ravenous Seas. The core systems are almost right where I want them. Which means soon we get to move onto the fun part, making whole new monsters for the players to fight.

Actually spending time doing dice calculations to determine the average chance of certain rolls for one of my game designs and learning that the best roll only has a 2.78% chance of occurring.

Current game design work involves analyzing and studying games like Glory to Rome, Race for the Galaxy, Puerto Rico, Fort, Rising Sun, and Twilight Imperium. Planning a big revamp of an old design without the restrictions I originally placed upon myself.

When someone asks me my music tastes, it hard to describe that I enjoy listening to cartoon or anime compilations of show openings. Tonight's music choice is a compilation of all the Power Ranger openings and I don't know if there is anything that gets me more hyped.

Priorities

Early Christmas gift to myself thanks to a Black Friday discount. The complete Blu-ray Box Set for one of my all time favorite anime series “Kill la Kill”. With streaming services being what they are, I wanna make sure I can always watch my favorite shows no matter what.

It's still the end goal that will most likely take many more years to even possibly come to fruition, but I still hope that someday I can do board game design full-time.
