Got to run two simultaneous quick playtests of a new co-op game idea. Think this is the first time I’ve been able to simulate one of my ideas with a deck of regular playing cards. Obviously this is nowhere near what the actual prototype will be, but it’s nice to see the idea works in theory.

I just stickered 216 stickers for a prototype! 😵‍💫

Had an amazing playtest of “Ravenous Seas” tonight trying out a couple of quick changes I made since Tantrum Con this past weekend. This is the most destroyed I have ever seen the ship. It was so close to sinking, but the players pulled it off in the end.

Another great playtest tonight of my co-op sea monster hunting game, Ravenous Seas. The core systems are almost right where I want them. Which means soon we get to move onto the fun part, making whole new monsters for the players to fight.

Submitted one of my game designs to a couple publishers today and it's a bit of a personal success for me. The games I am currently working on with publishers kinda fell into my lap - right place at the right time - so doing the work to get my other games out there feels like a big step.

Back home after a fantastic (1st annual?) GDofNC game jam! We had 19 designers in 5 teams. And even the jam constraints were gamified. Each team took turns drafting components, mechanics, and themes from the list. It was a blast, and my team is going to keep working on our game, Kazoo Prodigy.
