Hedgehogs, once common in gardens, are now vulnerable to extinction. But there’s hope. We're modelling how they move through fragmented habitats, alongside bats and amphibians. And our new hub, Actions for Nature, will find and track efforts to help. With all hands on deck, we can bring them back.

Weald to Waves are proud to support the #GreatUKWaterBlitz, sending water testing kits to citizen scientists in Kingston parish and the Greenhavens network. With over 3,800 WaterBlitz surveys submitted from 25-28 April, we’re excited to help build a clearer picture of water quality across the UK.

The Weald to Waves team recently enjoyed a sunny day visiting the William Robinson Gravetye Charity in the northern part of the corridor. The charity manages William Robinson's estate, a pioneer in 'wild' gardening. They engage groups in nature education and habitat creation through work parties.

Cold morning yesterday, but warmed by partnerships at Wiston Estate! Ian Rogers and Gareth Williams from Weald to Waves met Penny Green, Wiston's new ecologist. The nearby Lapwing plot, funded by Farming in Protected Landscapes, is in its first year, aiming to boost lapwing and wader populations.

It’s that time of year—frog and toad spawn is appearing across the UK, and the Fresh Water Habitats Trust is running the #SpawnSurvey! As you can see, the first results are in! Everyone can take part! Your records are submitted to Record Pool, the UK’s reptile and amphibian database. Link in bio.
