UPDATE: Lily the goose was checked out by our vet and though her wounds were deep they missed the organs and airsac. She’ll be on some antibiotics and pain meds for a few weeks and has a little quarantined space in the coop.

After several years of no incidents, we had an unfortunate coyote attack tonight. He tried to grab our girl Lily and run off. She has some puncture wounds which we cleaned up and she is resting. Coyote’s days are numbered. 🔫🔫🔫

Some gosling updates! They are 1-3 weeks old, which just shows how fast they grow! They will cry and call for us if any of us walks away and get very upset. If they hear our voices but cannot see us they call for us to come back!

This is one of our goslings from last year. He was a little stuck and needed a little help but generally we do NOT recommend assisting hatches. (Ive hatched hundreds of eggs so I know when to help safely)
