I was at the AGO earlier looking at Tom Thomson paintings and some kids walked by and complained that Canadian art is just trees and like yeah true but is there any more worthwhile subject, what's so great and special about anything else

Lucky to have had fantastic grade school teachers that arranged trips for us to visit the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinberg Ontario. A wonderful museum to experience many works of the Group of Seven.
