Not a great day for car pics but here is Zefiro. Feel a bit if traitor to weird car BS as this is not by any stretch weird but I do really like them. Plus I now have a roof!

So I am not doing too badly with anxiety. Largely coping and keeping a kid in it after a bad spell in December. However, morning woogles are still awful. Does any one know of strategies to avoid them? It's close to the unpleasant level of anxiety.

Isoo headland, Yakushima. I initially thought this hadn't worked but the stark movement of the tree branches was what I was going for and on second viewing I like it. #BelieveInFilm #PaperNehative.

I really like using it in combination with the 5D...which I surprised myself by enjoying immensely. Results were damned good too.

Developed my LF paper negs this morning. I am pleased to say I did not lug the intrepid up some quite technical trails for nothing!

"Boulder Valley" The hugely impressive boulders at the base of Creagan Tealasdale (Mealaisbhal) and Loch Mhor na Clibhe. A shortish pathless walk across the moors of West Lewis which offered some great views into the heart of the mountains. #ShareMondays2026 #OuterHebrides #IsleofLewis

Unplanned visit to Kagoshima airport.

One of the fun things about visiting small islands by plane is when the flights off said island get cancelled. 😮Anyway seems to be sorted now so here is another miss forest image.

Last time we were here we were a bit put off Shinto Shrines as in big cities they all seem to be the very opposite of a sacred space. Get out into the country however, and they start to feel a bit magical.

On Taikoiwa Rock. After a climb through the moss forest you come out onto a rock overlooking the inner part of Yakushima.

By the by. If anyone knows where I can get stuff to spruce up an XA2 I would be grateful. In some ways I like that it's tatty but it's been a constant reliable companion and I'd love to give it some TLC.

Yahazudake Shrine, Yakushima. You make your way down the cliffs into a small sacred space built into a cliff.

Also today my Intrepid was intrepid. Wind might be an issue re movement on the long exposures as it was v windy and even with a plum bob the camera is light but tbh I am not sure I will care too much.

Red letter day! I SAW MONKEYS!!!!! Partner took some pics but I was driving.

Installed in Miyanoura on Yakushima. The town has a weathered small town out of season look. It kinda reminds me of a subtropical version of Cape Breton.

Kei of the day. I always like a skoob. This looks really fun. Plus it's parked in a Buddhist temple so I'm guessing it is the choice of the wise and the kind.
