Got a bit carried away and decided I would try drawing from an old, bad photograph. It's better than I expected I could do.

Getting better at drawing. At least in the frame of garden design things. I am enjoying using ink/!water bush pens.

Activities I do not recommend. Trying to extract a Rodenstock lens from a lens board and adapter for a different copal size.

Finally got around to taking some nice photos of the rental MX-5. I've not even taken any of my *own* MX-5 like this. (Nor have I driven my own car on any roads as good as the one I found today π€·ββοΈ)

Today has been very crappy indeed. I'm sorry if I was short with anyone. I did get a lens board for the intrepid though. I've fitted a 9in 'teleross' that I've never found a use for up to now. Second more normal lens incoming.

I shouldn't have looked at the exercise I have to do for this interview. I am *wildly* unqualified. I don't know where to start. Why did they put me through for this?

Well I now have an interview for that more senior role than the one I didn't get. The weirdness continues. I wonder if I might be the only candidate and they are desperate.

I recently saw someone who really didn't like hashtags on art at all l. I can sort of understand that and I would like to find a way to get them in feeds without the clutter but it looks like putting them in alt text doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

I'm feeling rotten. Overwhelmed and now pretty depressed and anxious. It's extra sucky because there is proof here that it is independent on good things in my life and has its own inner logic. I should be happy. I am not.

I don't know why someone put these in a random pool in the Barbican but I am glad they did.

Suffice to say I wasn't expecting this scene on a grotty day at Barbican in November.

Weird thing (or maybe not weird). Jo. I recently interviewed for - the one I was a bit crushed for not getting. Just sent me an invitation to interview for a more senior position. Apparently the panel out my name forward for it if interested. Seems weird.

Promise that's it for round polaroids for now. Some good B&W rollfilm to follow.

I'm terrible at video but I do enjoy making little things to remind me of my bug while I'm 'down the mine'. If you like old engine noises it might be worth a listen.

I've done nothing I get graded on since 2011. It's been a decade and half of grind with no dreams allowed. So I admit I had a small cry that this is what I had waiting for me on my first assignment for my garden designing course.

I'm weird about sharing my photography. I will go out of my way to avoid ever having to show anyone apart from here. Just been invited to join a work chat of people sharing pics and I just cannot face showing regular folks my stuff. I don't know why. I don't even show it to what family I have left.

Ffordes can always be relied on. I went with an intrepid because the black is really *really* light and this was a decent price. Winging its way from the Highlands as we speak.

This is both great and ultra specific in when it could be from. Nothing like this had ever happened shortly before and would soon never again.

Garden design assignment done. Last thing was to think up a logo. For which I used a Polaroid! When researching logid was depressing how msny designers were 'double barrelled Henrietas'. I've got no chance!

New tack for hiking camera for Japan. Possibly a graflex century graphic. It would allow me to easily use paper negs as well as rollfilm and they seem quite light.

Put my garden design materials together. I don't think it's terrible but I hate that feeling when things just feel half arsed. I can never really tell when I have done a shoddy job or not. Although usually I have.

Quite why work think it's acceptable to leave me Β£700 out of pocket for 2 weeks when I did my expenses pretty much immediately (and approved in a couple of days) is beyond me. They *know* I'm not rich.

I sent an email to our HR today about the impact the chat/ spaces culture has on me in terms of concentration and overwhelm. Recently, important info has started to creep into messenger/ spaces format and all of this on top of the avalanche of gifs and inconsequential crap is just dreadful.

Question for the graflex inclined. If you own a speed graphic have you hiked with it? My current 4x5 is an MPP technical and it's too much for a long hikes.
