My first time ever seeing Shenandoah National Park! We went on a gorgeous 3 or so long hour hike on the Upper Hawksbill Trail, and saw some incredible views of all the changing leaves. The trail was a little crowded, but everybody was super chatty and friendly! 🍂

I finally got to see Weapons last night with some friends and WOW I don't think I've ever had so much emotional whiplash watching a film. It was funny, depressing, deeply unnerving and terrifying, and altogether just gave me a ton of goosebumps. One of the best horror films I've seen in a while!

I feel like I accomplished a lot today in terms of schoolwork, but I just feel kind of spent mentally. I think I'm just feeling lonely for not having the free time that I had before with my friends. Gonna try and get some rest.

I finally have a day to get out for a walk in the city and not worry about any kind of work at all and I feel so refreshed 🥹 My part time job’s left me feeling kind of burnt out lately, coupled with school, so I really felt like I needed a little break.

Guh I wanna fly out to Santa Fe just to revisit Meow Wolf again, didn't get the chance to when I went this year... I also just want to soak in those beautiful Southwestern mountains and deserts and try all the amazing food all over again.

One of our coworkers called off for an opening shift, so I've been here since around 10:30 and won't be done until around 6 🫠 I'm excited to get home later on and try the first Hollow Knight, though, since it's been sitting in my library for a while!

I'm so happy Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are getting a proper rerelease on the Switch, but jeez 70 DOLLARS for both games??? This feels incredibly exploitative for games that are not only over a decade old, but haven't even really been remastered much at all...

I ended up having a really great first day of classes yesterday! I only had one class, Intro to Japanese, and our professor was SUPER sweet and gave us all little snacks and candies. She stressed that we shouldn’t worry too much and ask questions whenever we need to!

I spent the first half of my life pretending I wasn't into anything weird and much of the later half being shy about it. I thought "being cool" was the only way to be liked and realized much later than I should've that the only way to actually do that is to be genuine.

My semester starts in two days and I feel like my body’s just been jittering nonstop, from a mix of excitement and also anxiety 😵‍💫 I’m really excited to learn more and more about design with a typography course and a drawing course, I just need to remind myself I don’t need to be the best.

That’s… that’s something. That’s kind of like latte art, if you squint hard enough.

One day I will be somebody

Got to the airport early this morning, and now I’m just waiting to board my flight home! Even though it was a brief stay, I feel really really grateful to have had the chance to visit and to have seen some local friends in Seattle, and family north of the city!

It’s been a little jarring going from being in the city to small town, but there’s a lot of gooorgeous trails out here in Shelton :3 The air out here is so fresh and I love seeing Puget Sound!

Being in the PNW even for a couple of days has felt so much like home. I have such an amazing group of friends here who have been so warm and inviting, and I really feel like I can be my most authentic self here ❤️
