OTD in 1987 the Argos defeated the Blue Bombers 19-3 in the Eastern Final at Winnipeg Stadium. Pictured are Darrell Smith and Bob O'Billovich. The Argos sacked Tom Clements 4 times and intercepted him 3 times holding Winnipeg to 234 yards in net offence.

On this day in 1929, Christopher Plummer was born in Toronto. The great-grandson of Prime Minister Sir John Abbott, he won an Academy Award, two Tony Awards and two Emmys in his career. Plummer also had a BAFTA & Golden Globe Award, and a Grammy nomination. He died in 2021.
