The hedgefox nods quietly, slowly tilting his head up to look at the jackal.

“…” Shifting back to himself, ears folded down. “He…does it a lot…”

Slowly shaking his head…the bullies at the orphanage were getting worse…

“I-I can w-walk…” Slowly getting to his feet, remaining as Tails.

“I-I know…” He spoke, barely above a whisper.

“…” Staying quiet, saying nothing.

Ears flicked, shifting to Tails now as if to hide his beatings.

Shapeshifting...his form now of a teal hedgehog, pristine, polished cuffs, glimmering with reflection. There wasn't a single quill out of place on the sleek frame. A scar along the chest, and knee high boots matching the polished cuffs...and fangs poked from his now sharpened maw.

"A-Are you gonna h-hurt him...?"

"I-I...umm...h-his name's S-Skyler..." He spoke quietly, looking down.

“N-No, t-they’ll…” He trails off, falling quiet.

Sniffle.
