Flight home. Delayed twice. Then moved up 30 minutes. Not delayed over an hour because the flight is only 1/4 full and they have to figure out distributing weight in the cargo. 😬😯 So, yeah. Taking ALL the positive thoughts right now!

We all know Republicans weren't going to back down. So what was the line going to be? How many kids starving? How many Federal employees bankrupt? How many holidays ruined? Wanna be mad? Be mad at Republicans who have made it crystal clear they don't give a shit about people.

Dems were always - ALWAYS - going to be the ones to end the shutdown. Because Dems are the only ones who actually care if people are starving. Republicans do not care if people die. Was eneding the shutdown right/wrong? I don't know. But I know where my next meal is. And a lot of people don't.

My mom co-leads a short story class for retirees. They are mostly in their 80s with some in their 70s & 90s. They're picking a new book. Her co-leader suggested a book bigger than normal. I am now listening to all of the complaints. I am hear to tell you middle school drama Never Ends. 😂

There are still 6 weeks until the winter solstice. 😭
