Much as I am worried for the good people of Iran, I also have very many dear American friends. It seems that 8pm EDT today is the cut-off point after which they become "legitimate" targets for every pro-Iranian terrorist, thanks to Trump. And that's so terribly worrying.

Fewer than twelve hours until we learn whether Trump is even more deranged than we'd believed possible. The thoughts of every decent person should be with the population of Iran right now.

A great reminder that Iran isn't full of ghastly extremists and terrorists. When I travelled there, I found them to be some of the most hospitable and best-educated people I've met - and I've visited 99 countries. Real people just like us are suffering at the hands of this illegal onslaught.

Dear goodness, don't let the Americans or Israelis massacre the crowds at Khamenei's funeral when it happens. I'm sure they'll be considering it.
