“Let the trigger surprise you” Something that for years many shooters were instructed is to let the trigger surprise you. I.e. to press through the wall and the break and not think about when the gun is going to go off, so that it surprises you.

In an earlier post, we and hevalti.fun.club (IG) talked about using a high optic mount to aim under night vision. Although the high mount makes NODs usable, it’s not ideal versus using the same optic in the day. The solution is using a laser to aim.

We finished our fundraiser for Liberate Myanmar liberate_myanmar (IG) and Karenni Nationalities Defence Forces Tactical Operations Command 7! Thanks so much to everyone who grabbed a Phoward patch. Together, we raised $2,738 dollars for Liberate Myanmar.

One of our contributors decided to try out the Baer Solutions monthly drill challenge. Much harder than it looks. Running in a dead sprint from 25 yards, then between the 10 and 5 yard mark, you must engage both the open target and headbox of the partial no shoot target, all on the move.

The V drill Like designated target, this drill required the shooter to “bounce” back to a primary target between shooting others on either side. Varying the distance or target presentation forces different confirmation levels for the shooter.

How about instead of fuckin around with paper towels you just practice with your ACTUAL DOT?? On your draw, what are you doing looking at your front sight post?? Look at THE TARGET aka the thing you are trying to fucking shoot.

Trigger control at speed drill (TCAS) To shoot faster, you need to press the trigger faster. To press the trigger faster, the secret isn’t precision movement like “feel the reset” or “stage to the wall” or whatever, it’s mainly just slappa the trigger.

OPSEC is a spectrum When talking about OPSEC, sometimes we see people talking about how to be impervious to the feds or infiltrators. Here’s the hard truth. You can’t. All organizing (or at least effective organizing) will involve some kind of risk.

Trigger freeze. One of our contributors got to shoot one of the new USPSA classifiers at a local match. Fairly straight forward hoser style stage. Only issue? He got a bad case of trigger freeze. The result isn’t a match ender but certainly enough to slow down the efficiency of any run.

When the unexpected happens, go with the flow and make corrections as needed. During this stage, two of the steel poppers did not go down despite being hit. The rounds hit a tad bit too high and did not transfer enough energy to force the steel to fall over.
