I’ve seen this movie before — and I didn’t like the ending. NC Republicans gerrymandered me out of my seat and cost Democrats control of Congress. Now they’re coming for Don Davis. They couldn’t beat him at the ballot box, so they’re going to cheat. That’s not democracy — it’s rigging the system.

Mike Johnson says Republicans are “fixing health care.” Their bill is going to kick 16 million Americans off their coverage. That’s not fixing health care — that’s breaking it.

Three years ago, we proved that when the playing field is fair, Democrats win. Now, MAGA Republicans in North Carolina are trying to rig the system through gerrymandering once more — because they know they can’t win in a fair fight.

On this day in 1963, hundreds of Black Americans in Selma lined up to register to vote — facing intimidation and discrimination. Their courage helped pave the way for the Voting Rights Act. Let’s honor them by redoubling our efforts to protect the right to vote for all Americans.
