The 2030 census brings bad news for Democrats. Reapportionment could flip 9 House seats and the road to the White House gets much tougher. In 2028 a Democrat can get elected President by winning MI, WI & PA. In 2032 the Democrat loses even if he/she wins MI, WI, PA and NV.

🚨2030 census data projects red states will gain 10 house seats in next decade’s redraw thanks to huge boosts in TX and FL. Meanwhile, CA and NY lose six seats. That means a much tougher path to a Dem House majority.

The "Big Ugly Bill" will force rural hospitals in NC to close by slashing Medicaid funding. Many of these hospitals rely on Medicaid to stay open and serve their communities. This bill will make it harder for them to survive, threatening access to care for those who need it most.

It’s easy to feel down about what’s happening in Washington under Trump’s watch. But like @ariellaelm.bsky.social says, we can’t give in to doomerism! Here’s what’s giving me hope right now.

Trump just handpicked hardline loyalist Michael Whatley, known for pushing his extreme agenda as RNC chair, to run for Senate in North Carolina. Reminder: Whatley has never questioned Trump, not once. If elected, he wouldn’t represent North Carolina. He’d be a rubber stamp for Trump’s every whim.

We’ve been investing in clean energy jobs that are good-paying and create real opportunities for North Carolinians. The "Big Ugly Bill" would cost our workforce over 45,000 jobs by 2030, all while raising energy costs. This is a step backward for our future.

The person that becomes the Republican Senate nominee in North Carolina will be whoever Trump picks. That won’t be someone working hard for North Carolina; it’ll be someone working hard for Donald Trump.

Trump's bill passed the House with over $1B in cuts to public broadcasting. As the son of a TV news reporter, I know how vital transparency and accountability are, especially when truth is under attack. We need leaders who protect these services, not gut them.

Reminder: ➡️ Every House Democrat voted to release the Epstein files. ➡️ Every House Republican voted NO Pass it on.

Dismantling the Department of Education is a no good very bad idea. Where will schools get the funding they need to support kids with special needs? Where do student loan borrowers call if 1300 staff are suddenly gone? This will cause chaos and be very costly for North Carolina.

North Carolinians are already feeling the pinch with rising prices, and Trump’s tariffs will only make it harder to make ends meet. We need elected leaders fighting to bring down costs and support working families.
