I was walking out of SDCC one year with my friend and this really handsome man in the loudest neon pants I had ever seen. He held the door open for us and walked with us for a bit. Someone yelled "JOHN!" and I realized it was Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who

Just a reminder, the greatest living American historian filmmaker, Ken Burns, released a 720 min exploration of every facet of the American revolution using zero generative AI and paying for all of its assets instead of cobbling it from stolen data, then he gave it away for free on PBS this year.

People be saying Jimmy Crystal in Bone Temple is more evil than West in the original 28 Days Later. Dude, West was tricking people into coming to him for help. Christopher Eccleston is one of my fave actors but I hate him so much as West.

Being Native means your elders will often drop such insane lore like an older lady telling me a family member of mine may have killed his married lover by accident.

I really love seeing real life professions react to how they're portrayed on screen. As a screenwriter, there's some stuff you leave out for the sake of the story. I saw a doctor saying something like real ER doctors don't talk that long with patients like they do on the PITT.

I'm not watching Euphoria but I've seen a lot of clips on Tiktok and it boggles the mind that the actress who plays Maddie is not a bigger thing. I mean I know why her Jeans costar is being pushed to the moon but Alexa Demie is really talented.

That image of the Native Warrior seeing It as a White Priest with a demonic baby Jesus on this week's episode of Welcome to Derry both triggered the hell out of me but also pissed me off because I cannot believe I didn't think of it first.

One of my love languages is giving friends cool gifts that they immediately freak out over. My best friend is a huge fan of Deadpool and has basically every single piece of memorabilia EXCEPT the Deadpool branded Coke cans. I got him two and for a man who doesn't show emotion, he showed a lot <3

I didn't get to learn my ancestral language as a child and I'm learning to now and it low key feels like I'm learning Elvish because of the poetry of trying to translate a concept that doesn't exist in English but exists in Cree.

I say this as someone who writes about Hollywood and entertainment for a living: People have got to stop thinking Hollywood is one monolithic mass. The creatives are a wholly different group than studio executives. The former group keeps making art despite the latter.

Unexpectedly ended up babysitting my two nephews and was given the go-ahead by their health conscious father to "go crazy" regarding getting them a snack. We got ice cream and I bought them novelty gummies in the shape of a pizza slice and a coke bottle.

I wish there were more BIPOC folk talking about their experiences with autism/ADHD on the socials. Thanks to the white folks speaking about it but I really think there's a massive difference in how folk perceive autism in white kids compared to black and brown ones.

My friend Rach was going sage picking and she had room for me in her car. I haven't been sage picking in a while and it was fun to just scour the road ditches to find sage patches throughout the southern part of just outside the city.

I think my favourite thing about getting older is learning new things about older people you loved who have died and seeing them in new ways. I'm realizing how much I wish the world was different and my Grandma Virginia got to go to a school that would have valued her.

What bothers me the most about the comments on Palestine that Bono and Larry Mullen made could apply to any Indigenous people being colonized and murdered by the white state. As an Indigenous person, that makes me PO'd.

Well that u2 statement on Gaza apart from The Edge and Adam Clayton was incredibly disappointing. I was really surprised, saddened, and annoyed to read Larry Mullen's comments. Bono was on my shit list since his comment in his book about Africa and iphone minerals.
