I just saw Little Amelie or the Character of Rain and I feel quite confident calling it an animated masterpiece. This is one of the most gorgeously animated and narratively pure portrayals of childhood innocence I’ve ever seen and it made me very emotional. Don’t miss it.

Every time I think about how the Best Animated Feature category should be expanded to 7-8 nominations given how many submissions there are in the modern day, I’m reminded that Academy would probably do the same thing as the Golden Globes and fill the slots with shit that doesn’t deserve to be there.
