2023 was a big year for me in a lot of ways, including the end of a 6 year relationship. It's laid the groundwork for transition and growth to come. See you in 2024, folks.

It's been 2 years since we started trialling the 4-day week at Chucklefish! It has been a crowning achievement for myself and the studio as a whole. My role in the trial was to identify risk in the publishing team and implement new processes to make it work. So, how did we do it?

My dog will grab a toy to chew, but must chew it up against a surface that makes noise, like the additional sensory aspect is the fun part. He has crackly toys he'll hold the chew toy against, or wooden furniture. I imagine it's his version of a gamer with RGB lighting around their setup.

Books, because I've been reading a lot more for the last couple of years. It was WAY HARDER than games. Also left out a big part of all of our childhoods because they've been ruined for me and that makes the list overall feel a little wrong.

By the time the first week of October is over we'll have finished 2 launches while working a 4 day work week. I love it, I'm happier, well rested and more engaged with my personal hobbies than ever before. Doesn't come without its challenges though, will definitely have a thread of thoughts later.

Wargroove 2 is also killing it in the reviews, which it very much deserves and I hope if you all like Turn Based Strategy you give it a go ✨

Yesterday: Wrapped all final launch day patches for Wargroove 2 and had a cocktail 🍹 Today: Returning to Starfield and not going down one of my evening Tiktok stress spirals 🚀 Game Production is a biiig thing. Even with no crunch that shit weighs on you. Glad it's done, cheers 🍷
