So here's the thing about me that I've written many many times but always bears repeating: I love the web. I love it passionately, *weirdly* strongly. I think the web is the best thing humanity's ever done.

This is excellent. I keep telling folks that the superpower of SOTA models is not that they can just generate endless amounts of code in whatever language you want, but also that they can act as a personalized engineering/coding teacher that can help you explain concepts in a way that YOU get.

One of the underrated side-effects of using Claude Opus 4.6 in my day-to-day is a measurable increase in the joy of exploration. I no longer hesitate to build an idea because of the amount of scaffolding needed before getting to the core of the problem. 🧵 This is my mini build log.

If I spend any meaningful amount of time learning MCP it will be because of people like Den. I was testing my knowledge around MCP in public today, and Den gave me the feedback I needed, and now the motivation to learn more.

Funnily enough, that’s one of the foundational pieces of where we’re going as an industry in terms of primitives. Take a look at Agent Skills. It’s basically bash, curl, and some Markdown in a trenchcoat.

LLMs + MCP feels like magic because they can orchestrate across multiple API calls to complete a task. With Kubernetes you have to pay that tax upfront by creating a controller which handles the API orchestration explicitly. You end up with a low cost and predictable way to automate things.

As someone deep into MCP (hello, I am one of the Core Maintainers of the protocol), what Kelsey alludes to here is 🎯 MCP completely removes the need to care about underlying API shape. Intent is what matters in a universal adapter. Behind the scenes you can use SOAP/XML for all we care.
