Woolworths has a cookware "offer". You get 1 credit for every $20 & when you get enough credits you can get your free pan or whatever you pick. Except, it's not free. I checked my emails. I'd like the wok. I'll have to give them 50 credits AND pay $50 for it. So, the "actual" price is $1050? 🤔

Morning🦋 It's FINALLY cold here🥳 Except, I'm finding out that Australian clothing stores don't cater for extreme temperatures at all🤦 Yes, I've changed significantly since last winter. No, I don't have adequate clothing to stay warm this winter. I hate shopping for clothes more than public speaking.

My daughter dragged me to the books section at Big W & sheepishly asked me where she'd find a "book which a movie is based on" & I laughed when she walked straight past the book to grab another book next to the one I thought she wanted. When I asked she said:" It's got Ryan Gosling, mum."😆🤦

It's 26 degrees C and we've had to turn the aircon on again 😔 At this rate we'll be forced to keep it on till September. Note, this is not a "lifestyle choice". It is requirement to keep my sons alive. We didn't choose this life, it chose us.

I wish my parents (and the population in general) had made the Goddess "look" a normal & ok 'thing' to be when I was growing up. I wouldn't have such trouble accepting myself now.

I'm doing little things all over the place, trying to spark my brain into "happy & engaged" but I fear I drained my battery far too well 🫣 There's glimmers of joy but it's drowned out by restless frustration. It's me, being stupid hard on myself, recognizing but refusing to acknowledge burnout 😒

The more I watch SBS Movies, the more upset I am at how we've been culturally ripped off & deliberately stagnated by other channels, feeding us Decades of American made movies. For me, who has free to air TV on to regulate, it's like I've discovered a whole new world of Incredible talent!

The hardest days for me, an AuADHD who THRIVES on deadlines & "some" chaos, are the days immediately after a massive competition where my brain is screaming for more of the "good stuff" but my body is trying to recover from 3 days of not eating or hydrating properly. The resulting RSD is crippling😒

The Fifth Element is on. I'm watching it (again) for shits & giggles. We happened to manage to watch from the very beginning. Just now, daughter says :"This is the first time I've EVER seen this bit. Like, every other time, I've only seen from where Leelo jumps & falls into the taxi. That's it." 🤭

I wasn't really satisfied with the lens attachment I bought for my phone camera so I invested in another jewelers loupe. This one has an extra 40% magnification on top of what the camera can give me. I think I'm in love ☺️🔎

🦋 Shocking night, the sky was very busy with sea rescue planes 😔💔 There was a tragedy💔 Cause I woke early, I went straight outside to check on the butterfly! She's still in the cat run so we're keeping it locked till she's warm enough to fly🦋🥰 A Female Richmond Birdwing butterfly, born yesterday 💖

Oh, also, this happened sometime while I was away... Not only did three of my Orchard Swallowtails eclose, I also have a female Richmond Birdwing Butterfly now. I missed all of it 😔 Even the release was blurry.

We have arrived home again after a HUGE, 3 day competition weekend. My daughter came home with five gold, six silver, two bronze medals & a trophy 🤩 So very proud of her & the whole team!

Day three 🥱🦋 Slept so much better 🥰 This morning we pack our car & check out before heading to the last day of competition 🥺 It's always a mixed bag of emotions. We would love to come to the room, hang with the team & head home tomorrow but, financially it would cripple us. We're also missing home🐱🐶

I know I needed time alone but I'm also seeing how much fun the mothers are having together right now, even though they were all saying they are going to have a quiet night in their rooms & my RSD is firing on so many levels right now it's almost embarrassing 😔😭 Except, it happens every year 😔

Another huge day done. 4 dances, two medals 💖 I'm so proud of her! Tonight I took some alone time. Having my special fried rice with a teaspoon because I forgot to ask for cutlery 😝 I don't care. I'm actually alone & it's heaven 🥰 Self care is important ☺️

About to head off to start day two 🥰🦋 Surprisingly, night two was rough. I usually have a really bad first night & the rest are amazing. This time, my second night was awful. Today I'll be functioning on coffee & determination. 🫣 Thankfully my daughter slept well & she's the one that counts here 😍🥰

My youngest is cleaning & rearranging his room like he's running out of time🤔 I've been sneezing & miserable the whole time. Dust allergies can go in the bin!🫠😭 When he started again early this morning, before my coffee, I found out, he's trying to get it done while I'm still home & able to help 🤦😝

Morning🦋 Hard work & dedication to a sport has lead to today. In a few hours we travel to the competition she worked for & I saved for 🤗 We used to "make do" in a cheap, cockroach infested, pub room but, my sons helped this time & we'll be living it up in a resort (for 6 hours a night after comp)😆

The interim Bondi report is a massive slap down for Jillian Segal. Not only does Commissioner Bell not blame protesters, she completely ignores Segal’s divisive recommendations & identifies Israel and the US as drivers of antisemitic attacks. Segal must resign. #auspol
