Strong start to the #BerlinProcess 2026! At the Berlin Process Agriculture Ministers’ Meeting in Berlin, Western Balkan states and their partners agreed on concrete steps towards EU alignment: EU acquis, sustainable agriculture & stronger regional cooperation in the Western Balkans.

At today’s official ceremony, I commemorated the victims of the Reçak/Račak massacre of 15 January 1999. The ceremony was attended by US Ambassador William Walker, former Head of the Kosovo Verification Mission, which made the crimes public. May remembrance strengthen our commitment to peace.

I had the honor of visiting the Jahjaga’s Foundation Moment Museum and meeting with fmr. Pres. Jahjaga. The stories of the survivors of sexual abuse left a deep impression, highlighting the importance of the Foundation’s work for women’s and human rights as well as peace and transitional justice.

I regret the obstructive behaviour by some members of the Central Election Commission in refusing to certify Srpska Lista for the upcoming general elections. The electoral process and technical preparations for the elections must be free from political maneuverings from political actors.

I had such fun meeting the students at the German language department at Pristina University. They have a fantastic curriculum- and their dictionaries were a throwback for me to my own time at uni (don't ask when that was...)

Today, together with my French colleague, we jointly commemorated the Armistice of November 11, 1918. This ceremony, dedicated to honoring the memory of fallen soldiers, stands as a profound symbol of Franco-German reconciliation and shared commitment to peace.

A peaceful revolution is possible. The fall of the Berlin Wall, 36 years ago today, proved it — courage and the desire for freedom brought down oppression and built the path to a united, free Europe. Freedom isn’t guaranteed. We must stand up for it — then and now, everywhere.
