The EU Heads of Missions discussed the situation after the Supreme Court decision. Attacks against individual judges and political interference into judiciary are inacceptable.

Visited the Ethnographic Museum of Gjakovë/Đakovica, a remarkable space showcasing the region’s history, traditions & craftwork. Also walked through Çarshia e Vjetër, the cultural heart of the town. Impressed to witness such a living treasure.

Insightful exchange with Gjakovë/Ðakovica’s business community today. Heard first-hand information about the challenges businesses face & discussed how to enhance dialogue between local businesses, the municipality & the EU to support local economic growth.

Visited the Jakova Innovation Center. With EU and local support, it’s delivering real change with over 250 people trained, 16 small businesses launched & a strong focus on women & marginalized groups in the region. A true example of grassroots impact and inclusivity.

Kicked off my visit to Gjakovë/ Ðakovica with a meeting with Mayor Ardian Gjini. Discussed local governance, economic development & EU cooperation. Commended his leadership on gender equality & his team's strong engagement in the EU-funded GEF project with UN Women.

Just started the first SAA Subcommittee since the EU began lifting measures. I hope it’s the first of many — with strong cooperation from our Kosovo partners, we can get back on track and push forward across all sectors. Let’s make the most of the enlargement momentum.

Together with HoMs, met Mayor, Gazmend Muhaxheri in Pejë/Peć. Discussed local–central cooperation& the key role of municipalities in 🇽🇰 Kosovo 🇪🇺 EU path. Commended the Mayor inclusive governance on gender equality, community engagement, green initiatives & digital transparency.

Together w/ HoMs, visited Vitomirica/Vitomiricë as the first stop of our outreach in Pejë/Peć. Handed over the keys to a new 🇪🇺-funded kindergarten worth 1.23 m. euro invested in early education & energy efficiency. A great example of 🇪🇺- 🇽🇰 partnership at the local level.

Delighted to inaugurate a new EU-funded kindergarten in Skënderaj/Srbica today. A safe, modern, and inclusive space for 120 children—built with the future in mind. Proud of the 🇪🇺 support for early education across Kosovo.

Productive exchange with Xiaoqing Yu, World Bank Director for the Western Balkans, Europe and Central Asia. We agreed that overcoming the political stalemate in Kosovo is essential to move forward with key reforms and international agreements that support stability and growth.
