Going to be honest for a moment, I'm significantly less interested in your book if the cover is made using AI. I understand that self publishing is expensive, and that paying an artist is also expensive, but I'm finding it's pushing me away more than drawing me in.

Finished reading Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey. I've already seen the Expanse show, so I knew what was going to happen in this book, and I was quite upset at how they left it off. But even know what was going to happen, I was still incredibly impressed at how well written the book was.

I'm trying to ditch the 'edit as I go' approach, because it's what's slowed my progress since I started writing any of the Galleren (protagonist) centered stories. So of course I did it again. But I'm glad I did, because the thing bugging me from before is no longer bugging me. Back to writing!

There are two I want to see: 1) Clean, drinkable tap water for all First Nation and other Indigenous communities. That goal has yet to be reached, but is achievable. (2) Modern fast, efficient passenger rail service to major centres in Canada extending all the way from the Pacific to the Atlantic.
