久々にバスケで和光市来たけど、すごい栄えてる感じの綺麗な感じになっていた。

時代が進んだせいか、単に理念優先だったからか、どうもこんなことやっても意味ないよね、ということがたくさん出てきている気がする。

なんとなく、ついに、という感じがしたけど、なんかここもどうでもいいことを議論してしそうな感じだなぁ。。○員を整理したい、といっていたNGIさんの気持ちがわかる気がする。しかし、そういう状況だと、先が思いやられるなぁ。。。

割と難しいと思うのは、本質的にはその方法じゃだめだけど、結果的にその解釈で良かったということも往々にしてありえると思うところだろうか。

REML=F以前に、そもそもこれモデル選択の誤用問題では…。選択されたモデルで応答変数の推定を行うのが目的なら良いけど、選択されたモデルに残っている変数を「応答変数に効いている変数」と解釈するのはダメなんですが…。そういう目的の場合、それぞれの変数を除いたモデルとフルモデルを尤度比検定して有意だったら効いている、とする。

Rにまつわる怖い話をいくつか書いてみました。lmerのデフォルト設定がREML=TRUEとなっており、モデル選択できない使用になっているのに気づかず、やらかしてしまっている論文はかなり多いのでは、、と思ってます。 ecological-stats.netlify.app/2025/10/26/r...
