FUCK TICKETMASTER! I logged into the waiting room. Watched as the people ahead of me ticked down. Now it's my turn! Then this error comes up. By the time I was back in, tickets sold out. This is the second time in a row their tech glitches have kept me from getting tickets for Bob Dylan.

Looks like I’m not totally screwed on my med insurance next year, which is about the best one can hope for in our übercapitalist hellscape where old white men get rich on the backs of sick people as well as those desperately hoping not to get sick.

Trying to figure out what I say more these days in the American fascist hellscape, “For fuck’s sake” or “fuckin’ ‘ell” and it’s a toss up, frankly.

Updated to OS 26.1 on my iPhone. Didn’t like the change to the clock’s font on my lock screen. “Hey, Siri,” I said, asking how to change the font. Siri coughed up links to clock settings on Android and Google phones, nothing about iPhone. Apple might want to check on Siri, I don’t think she’s happy.

Why is it that no matter how great an actor is, they can’t convincingly act like a take-out cup is full of hot coffee?

New 4K releases from Criterion include His Girl Friday and Pee-Wee's Big Adventure! I want both but no room for either in the December budget, especially after just picking up 4K Breakfast Club and Inglourious Basterds, though both of those were on sale. And how's that for a crazy double feature?!

We must connect the dots.   Trump is trying to normalize the word “enemy” to describe American citizens, while also normalizing military in our streets.   It’s not a coincidence.

A friendly reminder to aspiring Star Trek writers: Simon & Schuster doesn't accept unsolicited, unagented manuscript submissions for the line. If you send me a manuscript out of the blue, I have to delete it unopened. That's no fun for the writer or me!
