At one time i was a real film fanatic. Now i rarely watch a whole film. Being online constantly since the early 90's has messed up my attention span maybe for good. I signed up for the Criterion channel and i have been really digging in and enjoying. Slowly but surely i will watch Kiarostami again

Curious how people super "analog" their sound. Most all of the stuff from www.discreetmusic.se has that super old, weird, tape sound that seems super authentic. Finding that using a filter with a bit of LFO & running that audio through an old radio speaker does a pretty great job. Any other tips?

I think people forget the importance of aesthetics These albums were released 2 months apart. Both are extremely heavy, but only one is metal.

This may be an unusually hot take from me considering my well-known anglophile bias, but after many years, I have concluded American psych>British psych I just keep finding more insane, unknown to me gems & that rarely happens with the UK stuff. We have 4 to 5 times the population, of course

RIP Ozzy Black Sabbath was one of the first 5 or 6 bands i ever got into. I think i i have a soft spot for Sabotage the best because it was my first. Got it as a cut out in 1977 or 1978 at Korvettes. That first album though...just perfect in every way. The cover, all of it. Recorded in one day!

Few things bring me more joy than searching (& finding) new to me 60's psychedelic tracks. Been my happy place almost my whole life Crazy how there is still more to find (but there always is)
