Planted up some of my seedlings today and this year's crop is a bit of a bust. I mistakenly bought nine pak cells instead of six so the zinnias are already crowded. The petunias are sad, even my specialty ones that I paid money for have poor germination. Oh woe. #gardens #seedlings

About three weeks ago a plastic bumper cover was deposited in our yard in the dark of the night. I have come to consider it our personal yard art seeing as how the city is loathe to come get it. It continues to evolve with melting and new snowfalls. Definitely a neighbourhood conversation piece.

Just finished The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. It's her first novel, 1988, probably why it's shorter and has a different tone than some of her later works. I liked the voice of the character and her descriptive language very much. The themes were a bit obvious. Overall good read. 💙🖋📚 #booksky

I finally finished hand stitching the binding. This is my favourite scrap quilt I have made. It was fun foraging through my scraps to find coordinating designs and solids for the disappearing four patch blocks. I think I'm going to keep this one, at least until I make one I like more. #quiltsky

1/2 I've had an issue with little holes in my tshirts lately. Four or five have little holes in the same spot. Research says it's the button on my jeans doing it. My absolute fave shirt succumbed and so I had to get creative. Hopefully this repair lasts. Anyone else have this? How did you fix it?

The winds have been carving some amazing formations into the snow along the highway. For size reference, these drifts are at least as tall as me.

1/2 I had a bunch of orphan blocks left over from my last project when I realized I didn't have enough of a couple fabrics. I had two sizes of blocks and a bunch of four inch squares as well. I used the ends of all the fabrics with the blocks and incorporated them into rows in a freestyle pattern.
