Kind of an awkward PSA because I've had some artist mutuals recommend these sites/tools, but "ai image detection" tools are snake oil, and I feel like nobody bothered to scrutinize them. So I opened photoshop cs6, drew a smiley face, and uploaded it to the "accurate" detector:

I am seeing a lot of Ai people get called out recently and I am all for it. Just be careful when jumping the gun. Catalog evidence and ask the person for sketches in stuff.

I am fine with reposting this in order to comment. This... I see so many friends get into art and get burned out because they see their mistakes and can only think of them as such. It's not really failure in the eyes of success. You saw the fuck up, now think of how to change it.

Just spent 51 minutes scrolling through an 'artists' feed pointing the AI shit and other things that they did. Just collecting a lot of info as this 'artist' says they don't use AI, but you look at the images and go "Huh... Interesting." Making a catalog.

Sorta rant time? Just... Sorta found a rabbit hole of people who I used to talk to. I split off both by choice and being pushed away. I wasn't a good person to these people, and luck was always not on my side. I left a bad taste in all of these people's mouths. Sorta just... Eh now.
