One of my all time favorite tropes is a starship having its own personality or AI. Some gigantic utilitarian craft with a ridiculous yet intelligent personality that the little critters inside it can talk to. Shipminds in The Culture and ART from murderbot, the more sarcastic or unhinged the better.

Tried to use a photo to represent how I "see" images when I imagine them: It's more as if there's a smoky glass hologram of the object in 3D with some minor information about color / texture but never the clear image, more like a wireframe or those old laser holograms but really really faint.

Oh man it took me until now to learn that, along with dyscalculia, complete aphantasia, I have visual snow too? Apparently seeing coloured flashes, waves of colour when you sleep and innumerable visual interference artifacts is not normal lol. I did think I had weird after image persistence at least

My verdict on Marton: If this was in VR like Alyx it would be incredible, so far I really enjoy it and I'm sure they'll tweak the controls. Genuinely feels like being far in the future. Great weapons but boy you need to carry a lot of ammo and heals. Human players are scawy.
