I was first to speak at ILEA, after sitting in on their meeting, discussing either overburdening IPS or taking away their decision making altogether. I had no idea they made it a law that charter schools were considered public school. I was shaking by the time I got up there.

We recently learned that IPS school principals are being ordered to forbid their teachers from attending the ISTA Day of Action at the Statehouse on Monday, even going so far as to violate their contract and deny sick leave. Let’s call this shameful act what it is: union busting.
