I don't know what I believe, but I have hope. Hope that there's a place where I'm truly happy; a place where I can go outside without trembling; a place for me in the world that's defined in something more than writing. Maybe I'll never like myself. And maybe that's okay. I'm still here either way.

every time I look into the mirror & can't match the gaze of my own two eyes, I often wonder how people see me vs. how I see myself. a friend, a stranger, a family member; all people that view me through their own lenses. I hope one day I can look through my own & find something like they do.

Finished up uni work for the week so I'm back to editing. I stare at the word count and feel both accomplished and insanely amazed at fanfic authors churning out 150k+ fics just for fun. As I type this out I realize that I'm also writing this for fun but. You get the idea lol #queerwriters

Little fun fact: A lot of things that inspired both Bram & Liam were older trans & queer people I got to meet and talk with. Liam's DI scars are a little messed up-- based on a person I met that had similar scarring & got their surgery done in a literal back alley in the mid 80s.

The idea of even one person reading my story and liking it makes me really happy. If only a few people read it I know it’ll still be worth it. If it’s just me, that’ll be okay, too. Separating self worth from creations is difficult, but give yourself some space. You’re worth the patience.

I think I’ve begun to finally feel okay about UM whenever it releases. A constant nag of perfectionism & harsh critique is something I’ll never be able to run from, but I’ve just accepted it. Which is a nice change. :)
