We're meeting Steve Reed MP and @samanthadixonmp.bsky.social today. The last 15 months have seen no real progress. Accelerating remediation means little without resolving the issues. Their plans will do nothing to help people any time soon. Labour must do much more to keep its promises.

The fire consultants who got the height of the building wrong refuse to amend their report, so we need a NEW fire engineer, NEW strategy, and NEW delays. Every month of this farce costs us and our neighbours £19k+ in insurance alone. Six years in, and they can't even measure a building correctly.

This Government has postponed the Building Safety Levy for a year. Now they are bailing out developers who have been dragging their feet on building safety remediation. I guess this is what they mean when they say 'we are backing the builders'.
