But let's talk about her

Susie didn't hiss at us, but she never stopped hissing at Loueem These two were complete opposites (You can see Loueem licking her lips at one point during this video - something she did when she was frustrated/upset)

She had hundreds of toys, but her favorites were her Teeny Tys, her rattle mouse, and BM (blue mouse)

She was so funny, without even trying

Cameo from Rob - the fact that he agreed to do shout-outs to all our ferrets with their weird names. He didn't have to! Still one of the coolest things ever

In 2018 or 2019 (can't remember!)... back when we still had disposable income, I purchased a Cameo from Rob Wiethoff (John Marston) as a surprise for Jim I sent this to Rob as a thank you, after. Susie is wearing John's hat lmao Cameo to follow

Near the end of her life, I had taken to calling her Susie Salmon. She loved her freeze-dried salmon treats SO much I'm so grateful for modern technology. We have thousands of photos of our pets. These are just a hundred... or two, of my favorites

Phantasmagoric

This is one of my favorite videos ever. Loueem was stashing her toys in the octopus bed & Susie kept taking them back out If you watch closely you can see Loueem nudging Susie with her head - "get outta there, toots!"

She did everything in her power to cheer us up after Loueem passed. She seemed to understand human laughter - she knew it was a happy sound It was impossible to be sad with Susie around

Of all our ferrets, Jim was closest to Susan. She would usually seek him out when she got tired & curl up in his arms or on his lap. I have so many photos of them together. I never saw him happier than when he was cradling Susie

She was pure sunshine. Joy incarnate. God, how I loved her. So much, every day. She softened me. I never believed anyone could

We used to call Susie an "ol' rat of the sewer" because she was such a scraggly little baby

The little things matter so much now

Jim stashed white rattle mouse up there because Susie was chewing on him yesterday. She's totally blind, so he didn't think she'd notice... ...but her nose still works just fine!

This child received two full meals in less than an hour due to a miscommunication between her parents Her belly is extra full. She is satisfied. Nap time now

When Susie gets a food she really, REALLY likes, she does this thing we call "going down to Bibb county" When the food is removed, she will immediately begin licking the white bib on her chest See also: Bibbing
