Today was sad, and hard. We let Romeo go due to a colic impaction. He was almost 2 months old... I am tired and sad, but the farm moves on. I will be grieving him in the evening when it is quiet.

Looking forward to this weekend when I can shear the rest of my sheep. I only have three more to go and then all the critters will be naked. It is a bit slower for me as I only have the manual shears, but it a nice learning experience! I only have a small flock too so it isn't too bad imo.

We had an adventure weekend!

I have decided that farm chores, specifically horse chores are now called "chorse". Been a very domestic day, started the washing, started a fire for the furnace, tidied the kitchen and recycling, started a loaf in the bread maker and currently boiling eggs and made a quiche!

My quiche attempts were mixed successes. Definitely going to be trying more recipes before I figure out what works best.
