One of the many awesome things about Neon Pantheon neonpantheoncomic.com is the great meme potential. I mean, my first reaction after touching the plant I'm allergic to is to make a meme about it, using a screenshot from the Neon Pantheon comic; just because the visuals are so fitting XD

Waking up before sunrise on a day you had planned to sleep in feels like a crime :/ But on the positive side, I can now watch the sun slowly appearing on the horizon, painting the clouds with vibrant light, and see how the colors of the world awake from their slumber

For one of my literature classes I have to read a book about the radicalization of a teen, and it's kind of a heavy read. I hate that I can watch how that poor kid just slides deeper and deeper into the radicalization and doesn't even realize it. I just feel so helpless.

Missed my connection home so I have to wait about an hour for my next bus to arrive. Currently I'm hanging out in the City Park that's surprisingly dark for being in the middle of a city. I mean, I'm actually capable of seeing stars in the night sky; I can even make out constellations!! Awesome!!

For my day job, I’ve worked in nonprofit the last 10 years, with the last 5 in food banking. I can’t speak on behalf of my organization, but I’m happy to answer any questions anyone has about getting access to food or how to best help their local food bank.

Also, before food banking, I was in animal welfare for 5 yrs. Times like these have a trickle down effect on pets. Why is traveling long distance such an annoyance? I came home 2 hours later than usually (on a Wednesday) because I missed my second bus to get home by 3 minutes and therefore had to wait for the next one to arrive. I still need to get my homework done, but now I'm just exhausted :c

Finished the gloves! They are super warm and comfy and cozy!!

I was gifted some very fluffy wool, so I decided to make gloves using this wool. I can only crochet very basic rectangles (and ducks; I also put skill points into that) and have never made gloves in my life, so I'm very excited to see how this will go :D

The 'fun' thing about autum / winter over here is constantly watching the clock to check when you have to leave the house, because it is the only indicator of how late it is. 3am, 5am & 7am feel the exact same to me because it is just ultra dark outside.

My body keeps waking me up between 3am and 4am.... I'm tired, just so tired. To be fair, last week I had to wake up at 4 because I needed to be on campus by 8 and the bus I need to catch so I can manage to do that arrives before 6am; but I don't need to do that anymore. Stop it, body!
