Watched my first Ghibli movie, Princess Mononoke. Great time, I loved the score, animation was full of charm, simply heartfelt story. I am slightly disappointed, but that mostly has to do with my sky high expectations. I didn’t love it as much as I wanted to but it was still really good.

Playing Shadow Generations has not only helped resolve this, but more importantly further strengthened my belief that Shadow is much much cooler than Sonic. It’s not even close.

Just finished Joe Sacco’s Palestine. It’s a comic book about his trip to Palestine and the stories he heard from the various locals. Although not always easy to read, it’s a great book that doesn’t sugarcoat any part of the struggle of living there. Highly recommend.

I need someone to pin point the exact moment Fromsoftware fell in love with the idea of making bosses 3 times bigger than you and twice as fast. Because that was a mistake. The game’s camera is consistently at its worse when it’s trying to fit an elephant moving around like a hyper dog on screen.

Finished Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows. I started it way back when it came out, but I had already burned myself out on Shovel Knight and I found it gimmicky so I never finished. It still feels like it’s trying a bit too much with the bombs but it’s fun. I died almost 50 times. I might suck.

Just finished DarkSouls 3 and I gotta say that it has to be the best DarkSouls because it’s the only one with a challenging final boss. The game’s also just a great story about the necessity of moving on rather than letting things slowly deteriorate into an unrecognizable monstrosity.

Sonic 3 thoughts: they beat Gerald in the funniest way possible. I give the movie a Jim Carrey + Shadow the Hedgehog /10

Saw lotr War of the Rohirrim, not gonna lie it was sloppy as hell, really stupid, and needlessly panders to nostalgia, but it’s also impossible for me to hate a film where an old man boxes a giant monster and wins so I guess I liked it somehow.
