These guidelines are so absurdly vague and encompassing that the chances of my WIP project going on itchio have just plummeted. Sigh.

Can I just say how fucking ridiculous it is that queer and nsfw art is more heavily regulated than the fucking plagiarism machine destroying our planet that is genAI

this entire thing with Itch is so depressing beyond even the baseline infuriating thing with NSFW works. Itch has become a big source of revenue for a lot of indie writers, devs, etc. and whether you make NSFW or not, people will turn away from Itch (understandably) and hurt everybody

Even if you don't purchase smut, it should be common sense that the right for anyone else to obtain it shouldn't be completely up to modern day crusaders and credit card payment processors.
