Ivatt tank engines run the branch line east of the island. Both are painted in Midland colours and work hard. They are called Arthur, and Barry.

Tidmouth, August 1985 The Thin Clergyman has invited a few visitors. The visitors were filmmakers, a smartly dressed man in a hat, and a lady dressed in lovely blue dress. All were followed by men with cameras and asked to meet the Engines. All of whom were very pleased.
