long story short: I was unable to find any patches for the oracle db2 gateway. the solution is simple: there are no separete patches. but using the database RU did the trick!

Autoupgrade looks more promising for the future. FPP has a terrible overly complicated architecture. Ansible is just an orchestrator that you need anyway.

I also tested both. Both are great compared to doing everything manually. I prefer using FPP in Exadata environments (rather than giving SSH equivalency to another server). Ansible works well with traditional systems and Virtual Machines, but it requires careful preparation of the playbooks.

Ansible or FPP which one is better for oracle database patching? Will test it over the next weeks.
