What a great race- rolling hills-600 feet of ascent -10 miler around beautiful Lake Massabesic in NH- to do as a training run and it was the last iteration of this historic 15 year old race.

With the exception of bike racing, no other sport involves as much time to think as long-distance running. To run five or 10 or 26 miles is, as much as anything else, to engage in a sustained way with the deep strangeness that is the human mind.

Looking at these teeth we found within just 400 sq feet of beach on shark tooth island, I cant even imagine the mind-blowing diversity of sharks that populate these beautiful NC waters and estuaries….
