Working on my own game, I really understand why Nintendo sometimes just says "additional fixes."

I would love to know how this statistic compares to any other year in video game history, because this has some real “How do we get the grandma who’s only played Wii Sports for five years to care about Skyward Sword?” desperation to it.

I think a reason Clover Pit hits so much better for me than Balatro is that there’s so much more variance to a slot pull compared to a poker hand that it means you never feel hopeless or safe. You always feel like luck could save you and you always feel like luck could kill you.

I love that Ghost of Yotei never cleans off the blood decals for cutscenes. Atsu spends half the game’s cinematics covered in near-comical amounts of blood and it feels like a very intentional choice.

Ghost of Yotei’s parry mechanic works well enough most of the time but some specific attack animations become a real game of “Guess the Active Frame.” Yes, game, when a guy’s windmilling sickles at me, obviously I need to parry when his arm is at a 23-degree angle and not 12 like I was doing.

The Festival Mode in Crossworlds is revealing another weakness of the game compared to Mario Kart. Because of the more “balanced” item design, if the pack is extremely bunched up there’s not really anything that can be done to to untangle it.

I know it’s not what they’re saying but I love the idea that the main reason someone would watch Good Boy is because they hate dogs.

This is what watching that Homestuck pilot felt like.

I feel like maybe I should watch that Homestuck pilot since, as someone who's always been interested in Homestuck as a phenomenon but never read the original comic, it seems like I'm weirdly the target demographic based on what people are saying.

This is currently my favorite Crossworlds gadget set by far. You spend the whole race deliberately ramming people and knocking them around, and once you’re in first, if you’re hit by an item and anyone so much as taps you while trying pass you’re instantly back at top speed.

First impression of Crossworlds from a Mario Kart fan who’s never played a Sonic Racing game: I think overall I still like Mario Kart track design better, but I’m really digging the mechanical depth of Crossworlds. Feels like it has the hooks to keep you playing a lot longer.

So this game’s pretty good, actually.

It's kind of weird that Fortnite has so many skins of famous streamers but almost none of vtubers. Well, I guess they have Gorillaz skins now, but you know what I mean.

I checked to see if this announcement was on the Nintendo Today app, the app Nintendo explicitly has for Nintendo news, but apparently it just couldn’t compete with today’s top stories.
