This morning in #bookselling an elderly customer was complaining that “the animals in this book don’t even live in this country”. So I guess even animals can be the target of isolationist nonsense.

I love "Candace, the Universe and Everything" by Sherri L. Smith. The real world side of magical adventures gets the spotlight it deserves in this multi-generational magical mystery. All the way back in Nov 24 I decided to stick to my lane in the coming fights. My focus is literacy, bookstores and Freedom to Read. You’d think this would be manageable. It isn’t. Transit are one of very few local indie publishers in SF Bay Area. Their children’s books are beautiful.

Tonight’s #DoctorWho was incredible. I didn’t see any of those plot twists coming. My heart was racing. The Doctor’s speech made me cry. And I want to be Kate Lethbridge-Stewart when I grow up. Amazing.
