CN medical stuff on ICU A 33 year old patient with a CK value so high, nobody of us believes it or has ever seen it before. 4.7 million. The range of when its considered high is 170. Poor dude shredded his kidneys, through a (probably)drug induced Rhabdomyolyse. So far hes stable under dialysis

Having a 21-year old patient ask you "Could this kill me?" And not being able to answer anything but "Yes" feels so so weird. Really follows me home. The patient has a huge peritonitis with 2(!) Super resistant bacteria (4MRGN) and we only have a single antibiotic that is usuable with the infection

Damn. What a nightshift I just had. Three experienced ICU nurses and all of us were so busy we couldnt even help eachother out. We were lucky the other ICU Unit could give us a hand. 4 unstable patients and 3 even if stable still high care patients really gave us a hard time. The worst thing: 1/2
