Well I've had an absolutely fucking miserable morning of work. People have twisted my words all morning. One of my employees was wildly unprofessional. And to top it off, someone found a dead pet on the side of the road and rather than call the council, dumped it on our private property.

What perfect album came out when you were 16? Maybe one of the easiest of this kind of question I've ever seen. 2008 was an absolute belter of a year for no skip rock records.

Wanted to try it at uni in 2011 but the nerdsoc at York at the time was incredibly hostile and gatekeepy so I didn't bother. About 6 years later, I picked up a Nissa starter deck so I could jam a game with @revelo.bsky.social when we first met up, the rest is history.

There's so much ludonarrative synergy in this set so far, but let me highlight the other one I really enjoy. Iroh here is Temur - red for his prolific firebending, but why GU? Well, in his exile he learned both earthbending and waterbending martial arts that he uses to improve his own firebending!

My favourite thing about this card is that Ozai uses firebending to fly. He stores red mana, or as we say in the game... floating mana. He floats mana, and the mana makes him float. There's ludonarrative synergy, and then there's THIS

Hmm 🤔 Given the combo with Ashaya, maybe there's a Bumi combo fringe cEDH list to brew here...

If you weren't sure, Duskmourn - and what could happen with it or be done with it as a setting - is my absolute favourite new plane introduced to Magic in any recent years. I am _convinced_ Grist is from there. I desperately want to write more fanfiction set there as well, should get on that.

It's been a part of me my entire life, but I never had the words for "being trans" for the longest part of it. I was a bi teen who went to uni, met my first open trans woman, and was immediately jealous and in awe. Came out at 29, never looked back.

I got the Sonic character cards as singles a few weeks ago for 2/3s the price of the sealed Lair. Lesson well learned - no queues for the PS Secret Lair for me, I'll just chance the price drops and get them later on down the line.
