I feel like I've made a revelation in learning Blender: Avoid shortcuts like the plague. That's not to knock them. They're very useful, but at the same time I want to learn where things are/why they are. If I can understand the hierarchy of tools, everything starts falling into place a lot better

Best thing I ever did for myself was host my own Youtrack (similar to jira) server. Keeping track of comms on top of just having a giant wiki I fill out with things I learn has been super useful

I firmly believe LLMs are one of the worst things to happen to the internet. Scouring forums for problems now has garbage LLM output as solutions. It's both obvious, and often either wrong or outdated I hate even going to AI chatbots for solutions because they're also outdated!
