An excellent novel overall. The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars is the translation. I much prefer Szabóās work as translated by Ali Smith. Still a fantastic read!

Amity is Harrisā 2nd novel and he just keeps getting better. This one is set in the West and chronicles the journey of slave siblings who were separated by their master. If you liked Sweetness, youāre going to love Amity!!

Just finished. I went in blind and Iām glad I did! Very thought provoking and the authorās use of symbolism and imagery helped frame this narrative in a way that really speaks to the social climate of the 30s. I will read more from Wright very soon! Iāll be thinking about this one for awhile!

@berkleypub this one gets a YES for me. If you loved The Secret Society of Irregular wishes, youāll love this one too. Gracefully written with moments of tenderness and humor in equal measure, this book is about second chances and found family. Grab it on pub day 7/15!!

This one is a must! A rerelease of Iglesiasā first novel, Zero Saints. Packs all the punch of his longer novels, but sacrifices nothing. All gas and that barrier-noir feel. He is the best contemporary crime fiction author out there! Youāre going to love this one

I donāt think youāre overreacting. In fact, I see a lot of folks underreacting. None of this is okay or normal or stuff we should accept and move on.

braids speculative, literary fiction & sci-fi into a compelling story about the extinction of humanity. It is emotionally dense and thought provoking. Would you compromise your morals to save humanity? Well crafted and expertly told (it's a debut)!

I wanted more from The Dream Hotel. It offered nothing unique or exciting and the narrative felt limp. This was a missed opportunity for a genuine critique of AI and other technology modernization. I DNF'd with 1/3 left.
