Yesterday’s turnout at my polling place was slightly better than I expected. We voted 11 people instead of my predicted 8 to 10. Not really surprising since we were in a very urban location for very suburban elections.

Thinking about the Equal Rights Amendment. I began writing and calling my senators and congressman (in those days there were hardly any congresswomen) asking them to pass the ERA out of Congress way back in 1970. When it finally got thru congress in 1972 I lobbied state legislators to ratify.

Did my 1-hour training on Zoom today to recertify as a Volunteer Deputy Voter Registrar (VDVR) in Harris County along with about 30 others . It will take 5 to 10 days before we get our certificates in the mail & we can’t register folks til we receive the certificate. #TXVDVR
